Takeover, The Break's Over

Ugh. Argh. *Sigh*. Are there any other scoffing noises I can make?

Today marked my first day back from a NINE day break. It. was. amazing.

And today? Less than amazing. Perhaps an 8th grade equation:

Today < amazing < Last 9 days

I am really tired, and not feeling like being in the "groove" of work.

Here's how one of my conversations with a student of mine, Precious (real name, no gimmicks), went today at about 1:20 PM:

Precious: blahblahblah blah blah blah blah

Me: Precious, for god's sake, can you just please STOP TALKING!

Precious: blah blah blaaah blahblahblah

Me: Precious... *sigh*... for the last nine days I have felt somewhat like a normal person. I got used to not have a stinging ring in my ear that is your voice. And now I'm back, and so is your voice. You're like a mosquito buzzing at my ear and I can't swipe it away.

Precious: tee hee. tee hee.... (3 mins later) blah blah blah blah blaah blahh

Me: (in thought):

Heee's Baaack

Ladies and Gentlemen, The Red Umbrella is back in business.

Oh, and if you care to, donate here to my Habitat for Humanity volunteer day on March 22nd here.

You kidding me?

I love this. Watching CNN right now. Just saw Obama address his supporters - great speech: well thought-out, natural, passioned, smart.

And now? I'm watching McCain read from a freakin teleprompter. So fake, so... Republican.

Ugh. Or, Ill.

Farewell?

Where have you gone, Vinson Cunningham,
Us readers turn our lonely eyes to you.
What's that you say, Mr. Cunningham.
Red Umbrella has left and gone away,
Hey hey hey.

Koo-koo-ka-choo, Mr. Leonor,
Readers love you more than you will know.
God bless you, please, Mr. Leonor.
Heaven holds a place for those who blog,
Hey, hey, hey

Wow.

Wow.

That's all I can say. The best game I have ever witnessed.

I am SO happy the Patriots did not win. Now I am not a Giants fan (I'm an Eagles fan), but I am a Boston/New England area losing fan. I loathe the Red Sox and their fans, and their fans happen to be Patriots fans, thus, I hate the Patriots.

All that perfect season talk. The best part is that it DID NOT MATTER. 18-0, perfect regular season, 50 TD passes, 23 TD receptions - IT DOES NOT MEAN SHIT NOW, HUH? HA!

Hats off to Eli and the NY Football Giants. Hell of a run.
